Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: April 2026
TheRunDrop (“we”, “us”, “our”) participates in several affiliate marketing programs. This means we may earn a commission when you click certain links on this website and complete a purchase, booking, or signup — at no extra cost to you. The commission supports our editorial work and keeps our city and run club directory free to browse.
Running Gear & Equipment
Our gear guides link to products through the following programs. All links are clearly labelled with an “Affiliate link” badge and carry the rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" attribute as required by Google's webmaster guidelines.
- Amazon Associates — As an Amazon Associate, TheRunDrop earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon links appear in guides covering running shoes, watches, headphones, hydration, and general running accessories.
- Rakuten Advertising — Direct partnerships with brands including HOKA and other footwear manufacturers. We may receive a commission on qualifying purchases made through these links.
- CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) — Partnerships with brands including Garmin and select technical gear retailers.
- Impact — Partnerships with brands including Salomon and other trail / technical running brands.
- Awin — Partnerships with select European retailers covering footwear and apparel.
- Direct brand programs — Some brands (for example Shokz for bone-conduction headphones) run their own affiliate programs, which we may participate in.
Travel & Accommodation
Some city and country pages include links to Booking.com hotel searches. We are a participant in the Booking.com Affiliate Programme. When you click one of these links and complete a hotel reservation, TheRunDrop may receive a commission from Booking.com.
Additional Programs
We may from time to time participate in additional affiliate networks and brand programs that fit our editorial scope — including but not limited to ShareASale, Skimlinks, Sovrn Commerce, Partnerize, and direct programs with running retailers, event organisers, and race-day nutrition brands. Any new relationship will be added to this page and disclosed in any content where it applies.
Our Editorial Policy
Affiliate relationships do not influence which run clubs, cities, products, or topics we feature. Our directory and editorial picks are independent. We only include affiliate links where a product or service provides genuine value to runners — and we routinely recommend products for which no affiliate relationship exists when those are the honest best pick.
We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews, ranking placement, or inclusion in our guides.
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides, we disclose all material connections — including affiliate compensation — clearly and conspicuously near every relevant link. The short notice (“This page contains affiliate links” or the top-of-guide banner) you see beneath or above affiliate placements links back to this page for full detail.
Amazon Associates Notice
TheRunDrop is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
