Birmingham Swifts
Birmingham Swifts is an LGBTQ+ inclusive running club founded to provide a welcoming, supportive space for LGBTQ+ runners while remaining open to allies and all abilities. The club runs a weekly Thursday evening social run (with pre-run bag drop and post-run social at The Fox pub), runs beginner 'Starting Out' (Couch to 5K) programmes, attends local parkruns on Saturdays, and organises occasional longer non-led Sunday runs. Sessions are led by England Athletics–qualified run leaders/coaches and the club supports visually impaired runners via guide runners (advance notice requested). The culture is social, inclusive, and community-focused with an emphasis on safety (insured leaders), accessibility for beginners, and post-run socialising.

COBS Running Club
Birmingham city centre running club known as City of Birmingham Striders (COBS). It is a welcoming, community-focused club with free weekly runs, structured coaching, and a mix of social runs, parkruns, long runs, and occasional track sessions. The club appears inclusive and well-established, with sessions for a broad range of abilities and all paces welcome.

Kings Heath Running Club
Kings Heath Running Club is an inclusive, friendly running club for runners of all levels, including beginners and new runners. It offers a social atmosphere with structured weekly runs, coached sessions, and beginner development programs, while also competing in cross-country leagues.

RUN BRUM CREW
Run Brum Crew (RBC) is a free, community-led running crew founded in March 2019. Led by England Athletics-licensed run leaders, the group emphasises inclusivity, mental health and social connection over pure competition. RBC welcomes adults (18+) who can comfortably run at least 5 km, offers weekly evening crew runs through central Birmingham, and encourages post-run socialising and community outreach (including partnerships with Sport 4 Life UK).

RUN OF A KIND
RUN OF A KIND is a Birmingham-based running and events brand focused on making running fun, social, and welcoming for all abilities. It offers themed runs, running tours, beginner programmes, and custom events, with an emphasis on inclusive, beginner-friendly community experiences rather than pace-focused training.

UoB Cool Runnings
UoB Cool Runnings is the University of Birmingham’s social running club and the participation wing of the University Athletics Club. It is designed to be pressure-free, friendly, and inclusive, welcoming runners of all abilities from complete beginners to experienced athletes.
