Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find a run club near me?▾
Tap "Use my location" above and TheRunDrop sorts every run club nearest to you first, with a map and the closest crews listed by distance. We currently map 266+ social run clubs across 75+ cities in 12+ countries. You can also browse by city if you prefer to pick a place manually.
Are run clubs near me free to join?▾
The vast majority of social run clubs are completely free — you just show up at the meeting point at the listed time. A few specialised or coached groups charge, but most urban run clubs have no fee, no membership, and no sign-up. Each club page shows exactly how to join.
Do I need to be fast to join a run club?▾
No. Most run clubs welcome all paces and levels, and many split into pace groups so nobody gets left behind ("no-drop"). Plenty are explicitly beginner-friendly and treat the social side — coffee, beer, or brunch after — as the point. Look for the "Beginner Friendly", "All Paces" or "No-Drop" tags on a club.
How do run clubs work — what should I expect?▾
A run club meets at a set spot and time (often a park, café, or running store), heads out together for a few kilometres at a chosen pace, and usually hangs out afterward. You don't need to register — just turn up a few minutes early, introduce yourself, and run. Bring water and wear what you already own; nobody cares about your gear on day one.
What if there's no run club in my exact town?▾
Use the map to spot the nearest crews — many runners travel to a neighbouring town or city for a good club. If a club is missing, you can submit it so others can find it, and we add new clubs regularly, so it's worth checking back.
Is there a run club near me tonight or this weekend?▾
Open any club near you and check its schedule — clubs list their meeting days and times (mornings, evenings, weekends). Evening and weekend runs are the most common for social clubs, since they fit around work.
